L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Scientist, Systems Engineer to join our team.
This position will be based at our Salt Lake City facility.
Position Overview:
This person will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of communications systems from a technical perspective and providing technical leadership for DoD programs.
The Scientist System Engineer is responsible for the lead technical role in life-cycle support of communications systems from conceptual development through product phase-out, and they are the technical point of contact for all internal and external customers.
The role includes, but is not limited to, oversight ofarchitecture development, customer briefings, proposal writing, customer requirements management, technical documentation, technical project management, build and test oversight, integration, verification and qualification oversight, system deployment oversight and in-house technical management during the operational life-cycle of a system.

Responsibilities:
Work in conjunction with Program Management to interact with DoD customers to provide technical expertise on the use of L3H systems and technology to support DoD missions.
Lead team to develop roadmap for future upgrades and architecture changes to an existing system Lead role to organize, participate, and manage key project/program engineering tasks and milestone completion Responsible for oversight on all requirements analysis, requirements decomposition and assignment of requirements to appropriate functional areas of responsibility Lead design synthesis and generation of supporting design documentation which includes technical specifications, interface control documents, test plans and procedures, and test conformance to specifications through verification cross reference matrix (VCRM) Ensure technical performance, quality, and adherence to established policies and processes Lead all development project/program design reviews for both internal and external customer audiences and is responsible as lead presenter Lead project/program schedule and budget planning, subcontract control, risk management for all technical and manufacturing support tasking Lead technical management over systems engineering team and other teams of functional design engineers reporting to systems engineering Lead role in developing responses for customer request for information (RFI), request for proposal (RFP) and new business development pursuits, including on-site and off-site technical interchange meetings and technical capability demonstrations Employ best practices, tools and techniques, and apply processes and methodologies selected to design and develop new products or modify existing products Ensure technical performance, quality, and adherence to schedule by all technical organizations associated with a given project/program Follow processes in conformance with established policies and objectives Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Active Secret or Top-Secret US DoD clearance is strongly preferred Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral) and formal presentation skills are required Leadership skills, with the ability to guide the technical direction/vision for a given project/program.
Must also be a strong lead contributor to integrated product teams internal and external to the company.
Solid understanding of wireless communication theory, with a working knowledge of digital design, RF design, mechanical design, network design, or software design of digital line-of-sight and satellite communication systems Experience and/or working knowledgewith LTE, 4G, and 5G systems is strongly desired Experience with software programmable architectures is strongly desired.
Experience in risk management, project planning, and technical project management Experience managing projects that include system integration, system verification, and formal qualification, including supporting integration and qualification events at customer locations Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage technical teams in meeting critical deadlines Strong experience in requirements management and documentation Strong experience in product development (preferably in military application environments) Exceptional experience in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, DOORs or similar tools Recommended Skills 4 G (Telecommunication) Architecture Business Development Communication Communication Theories Financial Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
